Shot in stunning black and white, ‘Mank‘ follows the story of the troubled screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his journey to pen ‘Citizen Kane‘ amidst the Golden Age of Hollywood.

Managed dailies and conform, where I ensured the highest image standards from production through delivery to Netflix. This included optimizing a sophisticated XML-based ingest workflow, developing automations for dailies metadata entry via Fotokem’s Nextlab, optical transforms in Filmlight’s Baselight, and managing massive data volumes while collaborating closely with vendors and editorial to resolve technical challenges. Notably, this project was part of the pilot testing for Adobe Premiere Pro Productions, with direct feedback provided to help shape its features and mitigate bugs.

“Mank” was nominated for ten Academy Awards and received the award for Best Cinematography and Best Production Design.
