Conga Kids is a prominent Los Angeles-based nonprofit that promotes social and emotional well-being through dance and music. I was responsible for editing their “Spring Celebration,” a large-scale production showcasing live dance performances and community impact.

My Role & Impact:

Led the creative edit and technical finishing for the hour-long performance special. Managing this runtime required a rigorous organizational structure and a keen eye for pacing across diverse dance segments.

I was responsible for the full editorial lifecycle, including initial assembly, multi-camera performance timing, a complex 4-minute credit sequence, and the final QC pass, ensuring the production met professional broadcast standards for this high-profile nonprofit event.

Accolades:

  • Community Impact: Serves over 140 schools across Los Angeles and Orange County.

  • Celebrity Support: Founded by Brad Gluckstein, with past board support from Jennifer Lopez, Jimmy Smits, and Sheila E.

  • Artistic Excellence: Multi-year California Arts Council grant recipient for “Artists in Schools.”

Innovative Workflow:

  • Long-Form Project Architecture: Structured a 70-minute timeline for responsiveness and stability through final color and sound delivery.

  • Rhythmic Performance Synchronization: Managed complex multi-camera dance performances, ensuring rhythmic precision and visual energy.

  • Broadcast-Standard QC: Conducted final technical mastering and quality control to ensure seamless playback for the “Conga Kids: Spring Celebration” premiere.
