As a global leader in sports media, ESPN operates under demanding broadcast deadlines. I was brought in during a critical “red-alert” phase of post production to diagnose and recover a failing editorial project that was jeopardizing delivery.
Role & Impact:
I stepped in during the final delivery window to resolve severe instability in an Adobe Premiere Pro Productions project. The editorial team was experiencing frequent crashes and extreme timeline lag that had effectively stalled delivery.
After conventional troubleshooting and vendor support channels were unable to isolate the issue, I conducted a deep technical audit of the project’s media and metadata architecture. Using a methodical clip-by-clip diagnostic process, I isolated corrupted media and metadata that were triggering timeline and playback failures in Premiere.
Once the root cause was identified, I rehabilitated the master project and developed a structured recovery roadmap for the lead assistant editor. This enabled the team to stabilize the remaining episodes and complete final broadcast delivery on schedule.

This editorial project was McEnroe vs McEnroe, the first real‑vs‑virtual tennis broadcast event, which went on to win the Sports Emmy Award for Outstanding Digital Innovation for its groundbreaking use of AI, Unreal Engine 5, real‑time rendering, motion capture, and robotics in a televised sporting event.
